Looks like they're a collection agency who is being sued currently (i think currently) by a debtor for abusive tactics. apparently they sent a false and deceptive collections letter on behalf of Capital One and the woman is now suing them as they supposedly violated the FDCPA. I've read bad things about them, as I have many collection agencies. Kristin are you being bothered by them in some way?
Thought is was something like that just wasn't sure, usually if someone is asking about a company and have little information it is usually a collector. They never give you enough information on them to hunt them down.
That always amazed me on how quickly they can obtain the information on us and how much they can get. They should be mandated to put at the least their contact information out there or give to you when talking to you on the phone. Instead of being so secretative or just hanging up on you. I have had them hang up on me when I have asked for more information. Yet they have my whole life history in their hands.
I hear you there...they're horrible! I think as a forum we are coming together and sharing experiences that will help each other battle these guys. I truly believe that the CAs don't count on us being savvy about the laws out there and when we are and ask for information that's when they bail. sometimes them hanging up is a relief to me and really CAs do make mistakes pinning the debt on someone wrongly.
Oh, I know, since I have come on these forums, I can put a collection agency in their place in a heart beat, I take no crap at all from them. I used to get all stressed out, not anymore, they get it right back. I always thank them if they are nice and if they are not, I give them a lesson in customer service, I feel it is only right that they hear from an expert. Usually they just get mad enough to hang up or threaten me. Then I tell them "honey, you are not my first walk in this park, been there, done that and if you are up to it, so am I, bring it on" I have had some get pretty nasty with me, I just laugh and ask them "is this job worth your health? I can't imagine what your blood pressure is right now?" You really should not get so emotionally involved in your job. I have gotten some pretty rotten responses. Bottom line is, I am not a 3 year old, and I am not screaming or disrespecting them, I am not a convict and I will not sit back and be treated like any of these. Sincerely........................... LOL
True. We cannot let them bother us for no reason. Continually violating the FDCPA cannot be tolerated always. The best thing about participating in the forum is getting enough information to be aware of the scams and the rights to fight them as well.
Not getting irritated with their foul tactics is a prudent idea goodnatured. Their act is really laughable.

Is this a repeat post? I mean the one above me here.
I think that most collectors are rotten and mean, at least the ones that I have tried to work with, they are trained to be that way, they won't get anything out of me acting that way, I don't cooperate with ignorance. I don't have time for it.
I think this is the National Action Financial Services
What do they do?
