Has anyone had issues with TransUnion? I have recently sent a debt verification letter asking for them to provide the name and address of their contacts and they ignored it. I originally sent a verification letter last year and they responded with a verification date of 11/2008. I sent another one last month and they responded with at verification date of 11/2008 AGAIN!! Do they even verify it at all? Is there anything I can do?
Transunion is the credit reporting agency, you need to send the debt validation letter to the creditor that is reporting the information to transunion.
Pull your report and see who the creditor is and send them the debt balidation, then if they don't send you the correct information you can send a dispute letter to transunion and the other two credit reporting agencies to have the information being reported about you removed.

Was there any inaccurate information on your credit report? If there was, then you should have sent a dispute letter to TransUnion, which is the CRA. A debt validation letter is sent to a collection agency or creditor to verify or validate the debt. Hence, I would suggest you to go through you credit report thoroughly to find out the name of the creditor or the CA against which the debt account is listed. After that you can send a debt validation letter to them, if you think you do not owe the debt.
