what is a letter of deletion and can it be used to remove a negative item on your credit report?

Yes there are different dispute letters especially on this website. First thing is first pull your credit report and check it out, there are several mistakes on it trust me. Then dispute the items through your credit bureaus all 3. Then there you go you will have some items deleted from there you go straight to the creditors. Remember rule of thumb here, creditors and credit bureaus have 30 days to validate the debt in dispute. Trust me you can do it, I deleted 4 items including a repossession on my own. Its going to take time, and patience but it can be done.

AAron is correct. Most people can find errors on their reports. This is a very good reason why you should check your report using all three free pulls yearly. Also remember when sending out validation letters to send them and EVERYTHING certified mail. This is your proof. When composing any letter try to set a time frame in which they have to respond. The usual is 30 days and I don't think you can request any less than that.
