a hospital bill that was paid ---- showed up on my credit report as a judgement. It had been paid a few years earler. I contacted the courts and attorney and they said they were unable to find my address but new where I worked. The full amount of 800.00 was on my credit report as not being paid. The attorney held off correcting this report for 11.62 interest they said I owed. I was never informed about this.

Wow that is really a shame. Usually hospitols do not even charge interest. Ask the atty if it is possible to get a pay for delete once you satified the $11.62. That is such a ridiculous amount to give any one hassle over. If the atty agrees then ask him to provide you with a statement in writing that the mark will be removed once paid. I am sure as an atty there are ways to get this done. Wow I can not believ a judgement was even issued for that amount or wqas it issued for the whole $800 earlier?
