When I received my monthly credit statement there were charges for electronic goods I have never purchased. I called the number mentioned on the statement. The representative told me that I purchased these in an online shop. But I never did. I demanded my money back and he said that he'll report to the higher authority and the money would be credited to my account. But now it is several days and I have not heard from them. What should I do? Is it too early to contact the CC company once again? Shall I wait a few more day?

I do not think talking to a representative of your credit card (CC) company will be effective. In order to remove billing errors on your credit card statement, you should send a "Dispute Letter" to your credit card company. You will have to send this letter to the address of "billing errors" (the address is given on your CC statement), within 60 days, starting from the day the statement was mailed to you. The CC company is required to investigate within two billing cycles. If the CC company is unable to verify the charges you are disputing, they will remove it from your credit records.

You should have card protection from this type of situation. If you still have the credit app you signed go back and read it. I am sure you will fing that if they can not prove these charges are yours then they will remove them.
Credit cards are deemed more safe to use than your own banking check card because they offer better protection. I would do as Scott suggested and also look to see if there is another number you can call to report this to the credit card company.

I do know that some places have started charging for this type of service. They call it a credit card protection plan. Even if one were not in place you could very well fight the charges with the credit card company and win. I am not a hundred percent sure but I think some places you may be responsible for up to fifty dollars. Again the best way to take care of the matter is to call. If you do not get any help then I would call the atty general for your state or the FTC. This would surely clear up the matter.

No one above mentioned that if you have charges on your card that are not yours not only should you file a dispute but I would also call the cc company back and tell then to cancel that card number and issue you another one....if someone does have your credit card number and succesfully charged your card for their purchases they could/will continue to do so.
I agree, putting your complaint in writing and sending it via registered mail via return reciept requested that way they can not say that you did not dispute it.

Thats a good idea.I know they can issue new cards because my sister had this happen to here. A lady with the same name lived in another state and even their accounts numbers were very simular.
