CREDIT repair companies that are not scams.

I am looking for a credit repair company that are not scam artists. I do not have the time or patience to do it myself. Is there anyone who will work in an expedited process.

I know a few people who said they will remove collections from my report in 3 weeks. Is that even possible. If so, how do they do it? Can it be done without hiring one of those companies. If so, how?

Thanks

It is very difficult to find a legitimate credit repair company that offers what they claim. Even FTC claims that most of the credit repair agencies are scams. They trap the customers by their claim and never provide expected service as they promise. This is because most of them make false claims that they can remove all negatives from your report, but nobody can remove correct information from your report. Moreover bankruptcy and judgments are public records and can never be removed from your credit report.

Nobody can remove all the collection listings from your credit report within 3 weeks. These listings can be removed from your credit report only through pay for deletion agreement and this negotiation takes time because before going for PFD, you need to go for debt validation to check whether you owe the debt or not. Most of the credit repair agencies make false claims and so it is always better to repair your own credit because doing this you will save the money that you would have paid to these agencies and use this money to repay some of your small debts.

Hi shabbi
If you want to remove the collections from your credit report, you should first send a debt validation letter by certified mail with return receipt and wait for 30 days. If they cannot validate the debt properly, send a dispute letter to the bureaus and the bureaus will get the collection listing away from your report. If they validate it, first send a pay for deletion agreement letter. Try to persuade them for PFD and if they agree get it in writing. Now, come to a repayment plan with the creditor and pay off the debt. Once you pay off the debt, the negatives will be automatically removed by the creditor from your report.
