AGFC is a collection agency. If you have find this name in your credit report, it means that either your debt has been sold off to this collection agency or the original creditor has transferred the right to collect the debt to the collection agency. You should therefore send a debt validation letter by certified mail to the AGFC. If they can properly validate the debt, then come to a repayment agreement and take steps to repay it off. But before doing so you should you should try to make the creditor agree to pay for deletion agreement.
Hi tsmith0914
If you want to get in touch with AGFG, you can call them at their toll free number (800) 828-6673. You can also send a debt validation letter at the following address:
PO Box 247001, Omaha, NE 68114
However, if the CA validate the debt, you should first ask for a pay for deletion agreement so that as soon as you pay off the debt the negative listing gets removed from your credit report. Always get the pay for deletion agreement in writing
Just another collector. I believe that I would call them and also send the debt validatrion letter. Chances are if the poster is just now fing=ding this company on their credit report then the account was recently sold by another collection agency to AGFC. This happens alot near the end of the year. Collectors try to dump some of their accounts they have tried and failed to collect on.
Thank you guys so much for that, i will keep you informed on what happened.. Thing is, its on my Fiance's credit report, we are both checking out or reports so we could get started on finding a home..
thanks,

SO........I guess when this happens, you can't REALLY 'keep track' on the 'status' of your debt.
