Hi guys, I was able to dispute a collection account through the original creditor. They sent me a statement that they removed my account from collection. They sent me a bill charging me for removing my account from collection. It was stated as "bad credit write off". Assuming that they removed my account from the collection, how can I make sure that they did.
I was also able to get a letter from the hospital that said that I should not owe the radiologist anything because they billed the wrong insurance company. Now, do I need to send this letter to all the CRAs so it can come off my report. I need help on how to do this right. CMRRR is a little pricy you know. Thanks in advance. Happy thanksgiving to all.
I would send them all a copy to make sure that it removed, I would not depend on any one else to do it for me. make sure you keep a copy of everything for your records, never know when they may come back to haunt you, I just had it happen to me, from two years ago, had to fax the paper work to collection agency to get them off my back.

Obviously, THERESA..it sounds like NONE of this is your fault. If you have letters to prove the bill was sent to the wrong insurance company, then it should be 'cased closed.' SHOULD be that way...anyway. OH...did i read your post correctly?...they charged you to have the MISTAKE taken off????? gosh.....not good.
charging you to remove from collection?
What is that? I have never heard of such a thing. I can't tell if you have paid this off. I would send this letter to the CRA's by certified mail with out return receipt. This is slightly cheaper. Repairing your credit does cost a lot of postage.
HI Theresa
You can pull out your credit report to find out whether they have listed the debt in your credit report or not. If they have listed it on your report, you can send a dispute letter to the bureaus telling them that you do not agree with the listing and ask them to remove it from the report. Moreover, a creditor can never charge for removing the listing from your credit report if they have made any wrong entry in your report. You can find a dispute letter by visiting the link letters of credit
