How do I cancel my Credit Card Boost.

Hi tinlizzy36
Can you be a bit specific about your question? What do you mean by credit card boost? Is it that you have signed up with any credit repair company for improving your credit score.

Hi tinLizzy36,

This is a credit forum, you will need to find the address and contact information for the particular company that you dealt with when setting up the account that you are referring to. If you would leave the name of the company and possibly the state we could help you find out what you need to do. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

This may be a program offered by a certian crdit card company and she may have came here by mistake. You never know. We can wait and see if she will come back or maybe take a stab at what a credit card boost is?

Sometimes banks/finance companies send 'offers' through the mail, about how to "boost your credit." These ads usually have a number on them to call and 'set-up- your account. I wonder if this is the case?

I don't know but thats a pretty good thought. I hate when they actually send real checks through the ail that all you have to do is sign and cashed. I believe these are one of the unsafest things that a company can do. I actually had to call Discover and ask that they do not do this.

Yep,....I agree. People just see money in front of them. They don't 'investigate' it furthur, to see the details, etc. And the 'fine print'.....I can just imagine what THAT says.

The fine print on these checks are usually what will get people, they don't realize it until the bill comes in the mail and the intrest rate on that check is through the roof. I believe these checks are considered a cash advance right? And the intrest rate on cash advances are much higher. I would throw them in the garbage if it were me.

I don't think 'we' realize we give these 'companies' our private information (ie..accounts, possibly phone number, etc.) when we do this. As soon as you cash a check, you're letting them know personal information.

I file thirteen all this type of stuff. I would like to suggest that people use a shredder when doing this. It is a realitively cheap machine that pays for itself. If you burn trash in an outdoor furnace or barrell there wouldn't be a need but if you use the local waste management company its another story. You do not want someone getting a check and cashing it or using information that is personal. I have actually heard of ID theifs routing through trash to obtain there next vcitim

MARILYN....I think you have the wrong place you're looking into. This is a Credit Repair forum. We don't charge anything, to cancel it.

I think that Marilyn is wishing to cancel the identity theft protection or the fraud alert service with the credit bureaus. If it is regarding the cancellation of fraud alert service, the service will be automatically deactivated after the introductory period of 3 months. But if it is any other fraud protection which you have applied for, you can share the details in the forum so that we can help you out here.

I have been searching my mind and the internet to see what this is. Hopefully this answers the question. I really hope the poster will stop back and see they have reached this forum in error. It must have been some special they are running that is close to the name of this forum. I would hope they can make a quick call to this place and end their subscription.
