okay where can i fill one out im in need of a credit repair

Can you be mroe specific on your needs? I am thinking you are looking for a debt form. We do not do those here but we can help you repair your credit for free by giving you good information and ways that you yourself can take on the credit card debt and straighten it out. Let us know what you are looking to do, what kind of debt you have and how old the debt is. Alos include the date of last payment and whether a collection agency owns the debt.

Hi judylops
For repairing your credit, you need to pull out your credit report from the three credit bureaus and try to remove the negative listings from your report. Charge off, judgments and bankruptcies cannot be however removed from your credit report. One credit report is free from the three credit bureaus once a year. You can avail the facility and pull out the credit report.

You should pull out your credit report as Mary said and send DV letters by certified mail to the creditors or the CAs whose name you find listed in your credit report against the debt. If they validate the debt, go for a settlement plan to pay it off and if possible try to make them agree for a pay for deletion agreement so that as soon as you pay off the outstanding debt, the negative listing goes out of your report. But if the CA cannot validate the debt, just send DV letters to the bureaus asking them to remove the listing.

Be sure to get the pay for delete in the beggining as they will not want to work with you after you have settled your debt. It is a lot easier if the debt is not protected by SOL to set up a repayment plan and be sure that you ask for a debt settlement. Some places will reduce the debt. Sometimes they will settle for 50-70% of the amount they are trying to collect.

Yes, mostly the creditors settle for 60% of your outstanding debt amount. The CA is always aware of the fact that the debtor will negotiate for a discount and so they put some additional charges like interest, late fees etc, with the original debt so that even when you negotiate for a discount, they can get back the original outstanding amount. So you should always ask for a discount for the debt before you pay off the debt in full.

Some additional charges?? How about a load of them. Sometimes a card that started out for $500 will end up at $1500 in a short period of time. Even settling at 50% is $750..Not too bad if thats what you get the settlement agreement at. In any case you got to pay it and by that time you are already so harassed that it seems like a blessing.
