Mci aphone campany changed my account from at&t to their services without my concent and using a fake social security number, the bill came out to be $1,600 and I never paid for it and it happened about 8 year ago and now they sent me to collection "allied interstate", now they are damaging my credit, what can I do about it?

fight it, they cant do nothing but clear it if their was fake SS number used and theirs no record of consent from you.
you have to watch AT&T and Bellsouth, or all phone companies really, they will sell your name, address, phone number, account, anything they can get ahold of to other companies.
wwepatriot is right. Don't accept such crap from them. It seems that AI has reported this to credit bureaus, dispute it and ask them to get it removed.
When did you pay them last time? If it is past SOL, no one can legally force you to pay the amount. What state are you from?

phone bill
Especially on a phone bill, NO phone company is allowed to change your service without your permission. When you contact them, ask MCI if they have something recorded OR written by you, stating you wanted another phone company.
