i recently completed a one year student loan rehab and my loan has now been sold to a lender. With payments starting in a week. This has worked out great for me. I feel much better after starting the rehab program. I was told that after the rehab period, the student loan default would be off my credit report. How long will it take them to take it off? It was the Iowa Student Loan commission(?) that sent it to the collections.

Thanks for the reply. I understand all that. However, how long does it take for it to be taken off my credit report? It has been 2 months since the rehab was completed and it is still showing as defaulted. If it is not off in another month should I call someone?
