i would like to know is my loan has been approved.

Hi,

It looks like you have mistaken in identifying this board. This is CreditMagic, a community that helps people get out of credit problems.

You have to contact your lender to know the status of your loan. Or, if you mention the name of your lender the community can help you get their contact details.

Nice username btw ;)

I have been there, in fact at one time, I had ten at one time, I did not see a dime of my pay check, I got really frustrated and come to the debt forum and on the first day got three of them settled. It felt like I could breath again. I would never want to be in that position again. That is why I hope the Pa department of banking gets the restitution for the ones that borrowed and paid the fees to advance america, it will be a nice little sum for me.

How did yopu go about settling them? Are these the people who were pulling unauthorized funds from your checking? I am glad to see you put it all behind you. A lesson learned but I still can see why people sometimes feel this is their only avenue. I just try to advise them against it.

I know first hand how devastating they can be. I put a lot of money into the fees and intrest into these theives. I would definately try to veer people away from them at all cost.

I know how desperate one can get, but these are just viscious circles that are very hard to get out of.

They are vultures. You never answered my question...were these the people pulling funds fro your checking? That makes me hate them worse.

yep, pulled from checking account, I went back into the bank and had to dispute it there.

Wow that would stink if you had loans and stuff that automatically came out. Did it happen alot or just once?

It actually happened to me twice, once with a company that I did not even have an account with and it took about a month to get my money back.

Sun, 09/07/2008 - 02:48 Permalink

Wow. On what grounds can you dispute it? Did you contact this company and ask why they thought they were privelged to your hard earned money without even asking?

I disputed it on the point that I did not authorize them to take anything out of my account. It took a few weeks but I got my money back into my account. The bank sends them a request asking them to provide proof that they are authorized to take the money from your account, when they can't provide it, the bank refunds the money and then goes after them for the money.

Wow so they are no better than anyone. I just can't believe it is this easy to take money out of your bank account. Actually this is down right scary. You imagine if they can do this how other con artist are so lucrative at it. I would think they should have to get verification first from you before issuing money like that. I honestly can not see hnow they do itbecause if I have a direct debit, like say car ins., come right out I had to sign a paper for them to do it. Also I have the cigerrette comapny do electronic check but this requires a check number and bank info. I can not figure out how they work their slimy little hands aroung this to accomplish it.

Unless you authorize a company to draw money out of your checking account, they cannot do it. However, if the creditor bring judgment against you to garnish money from your account, he can do so even without your authorization. For this the creditor need to provide a judgment order to the bank in order to take money from your account whenever the account gets credited. This will continue so long as the debt along with interest and other fees are paid in full.

Someone said something about a payday loan. Gosh!!! NOT a 'good thing'. PDLs can be a vicious cycle. Difficult to pay back because of the % they charge. And....'you' sure don't have a paycheck left after the fees are taken out.

Mary, what I can't understand is how they get this jugement and people say they knew nothing about it on here until it starting taking money from their account. How can there be a judgement if the person was not notified of a court hearing?
