I got my credit report for free this year and theres this guy from the state next to us 'bonded' with my credit report somehow. Like they think he's my alias? He works for Bisys, the branch that just got busted for stealin money through their mutual funds, also involved in shady hedge funds. This guy has like 20 mortgages that have been flipped...tons of small loans and TONS of cards. ALL payments on time, NEVER late, ONCE!
At first I thought it was an innocent mishap- but on the address list is also my brothers address that he only recently got, also it's like 2k miles from me and theres no similarity in our names....no one should have ever submitted his address on any credit, but if they did, it was him or someone who knows him. Neither his name nor his previous addresses are on the report.
The other thing is, a financial professional who works for Bisys would NOT
miss the fact that his credit is bonded to someone else-for 12 years! Especially since hes applied for all these loans and mortgages!
Bad thing is bro was involved with (his words) mafiosa type loan shark who 'manufactured' his credit history for him...but it was years before he moved to this address, so he says

Any ideas on what type of scam this guys running? Whats the benefit of having someone with no credit (not bad credit) on your file for a financial whiz type guy?

I'm just surprised at the kind of problem you are facing. Did you not know that this guy was on your report for the past decade? Was it not with your permission? Do you personally know this guy?
Somehow I feel that the loan shark that your brother dealt with must be involved in all this.

File a complaint with the FTC.
First and foremost consult a lawyer immediately. You dont want to get into unnecessary trouble do you? This is shocking really. This guy might be impersonating your brother. Beware, try the legal way as soon as possible.
