Hi christinacohen
One credit report is free in a year from each of the theree credit bureaus as per the federal law. For getting the free credit report all that you can do is to visit annualcreditreport.com, which is a site set up by the CRAs to provide free annual credit reports.
If you have already pulled out one credit report from each of the credit bureaus then to get another copy of your credit report, you need to pay for the report. For this you can visit the official sites of the three credit bureaus and order the report online. These credit bureaus also provide a 3-in-1 credit report which shows your credit history from all the three CRAs in a single report. But you need to pay for it.
If you have recently been turned down for credit you are also entitled to a free copy. In the denail for credit letter there will be an address and instructions on what you need to do to get it.
Hey I seen these letters a few years ago. So if you use your pulls, the free ones, and you apply for crdit and get turned down you can still get that report for free? Just interested. I still have two pulls left. Gonna use one this month and then the last in NOv. Credit record should be clean except providian and that won't go until 7/2010.
