I have been battling Applied Card Bank for the past 10 years to get them off my CR.

I followed all the rules and tried to validate the the account. I was waiting for the 30 days to pass and they did respond to my Validation Letter, but they only sent me a copy of a credit application from 1995 that may or may not be mine. It was photo copied but illegible.

In my Verification letter I asked for itemized reciepts etc... Their response was that I had to pay the a copy fee for the statements.

I responded by letting them know that copy fee's were illegal. I have not heard back from them.

I send the CRA all the info but they have not removed them off my report.

Any ideas? I cannot really sue because I am currently out of country till next year, but I need my account cleared before I apply for a mortgage in July next year.

Dispute it with all the CRA's. That might help. Send the copies of the proof if you have them.

I've had the same problem with this bank and think we ought to consider a class action law suit. I never even had a credit card with them yet recieved a letter from a collection agency stating I owed them money.

I checked my scores some couple of weeks ago, they ran down in the low to the mid 400s. I was struggling having a hard time getting approved for anything due to a layoff I had last year so I fell behind on my bills and now I am struggling trying to get my score back up so I can purchase a home.
