Will only paying the illegal lenders the principal amount affect your credit? I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with the illegal ones reflecting negatively on your credit report.

Illegal lenders can’t report to the credit bureaus. If they do the same, then it’s a wrong activity. In this case dispute with the credit bureaus immediately and get the item removed from your credit report.

Did you contact with the credit bureaus about getting the item removed from the credit bureau? Don't repay more than the principal amount to them.
