Hi Edward, I have had great success in deleting GA tax liens. This is what I have done:
(1)Dispute the tax liens with Experian. (They may delete them during the first round of disputing.)
(2)Next, call the court house and be sure to get the name of the clerk that you speak to, tell them that you have tax liens reporting on your credit report and that the credit bureau is saying that they verified the information by someone in that office. ( the clerk is going to respond, " We do not verify information to anyone. or something along those lines)
(3) Now once you receive the results of the dispute from Experian, more than likely, they will respond by saying that the liens have been verified as belonging to you. If you get this response, SEND THE BUREAU ANOTHER LETTER asking for the method of verification used, any documentation they used to verify the liens, and the name, address, and telephone number of the person at the courthouse who verified your account. Go on to tell them that you spoke with XXXX person who stated that no one from Experian or anyone else representing Experian has been in to verify the tax liens. (Send the letter back to the bureaus, priority mail with delivery confirmation)
(4) Experian only has 15 days to get the information back to you. You should receive a response from Experian deleting the account from your report.
