Removing Hard Inquiries

I have about 16 hard inquiries between the 3 credit Bureaus. 3 of them I recognize but there are many that I don't recall authorizing. I have my suspicions that someone else who had access to my personal information was attempting to apply for credit cards online so that they could make online purchases. I understand that majority of creditors online now allow you to "electronically sign" authorization and such. But really anyone can sign for you electronically if they have stolen your information. How do I get these Inquiries removed. Luckily since I already had a low credit score it does not appear that any accounts were actually opened. But I have been ignored when contacting the Credit Bureaus they just say "our investigation has found proof that these inquiries were authorized" but yet I don't get to see the proof. Being that these accounts were probably attempted ONLINE how do I PROVE that it wasn't me that authorized the transaction. I have read all the articles on people sending letters requesting to have the inquiries removed but I so far I have not had any luck! This sucks!

As you don’t have any proof, so it may be difficult for you to remove the hard inquiries from your credit report. Negative items will remain on your credit report for at least 7-10 years. In this regard, you have nothing to do. You can contact with the credit-reporting agency and inform them regarding this matter. You can also request them to remove the hard inquiry from your credit report via certified mail with a return receipt request. The following letter may help you in this regard:
