The OC & Collections Both Reporting For The Same Account

I'm trying to clean up my credit report, but none of the creditors I have are being very helpful.

I'm not willing to sit around and wait for these things to just drop off my CR by Nov.2013 ,I don't have the amount of time to wait.

I have a double wammy on my CR; one is from the original creditor stating a charge off/ $0 balance owed (since it was sold ,I assume?), and the other from the collections agency the account was sold to stating I owe more then what the OC states I owed them. I have read in the past that ONLY the person who legally owns the debt can report it to the CRB's-if the account is sold, then the OC legally has to remove it from your CR. Is this true? What can I do in a case like this? Please help as this is extremely depressing.

Yes, it is true. When creditors sold your account to collection agencies, they reported it to the credit bureaus. Again, when collection agencies got your debt account, they also reported it to the credit bureaus. In this case, you may contact with your creditors and collection agencies and explain them your situation.

There is so much SPAM taking up this forum, that it makes it difficult for legit posts to get seen and for the must needed help so many of us are in need of or can offer to others.

Anyways,in regards to my original post, at this point, should I send a debt validation letter to the OC and make them prove I actually ever owed this debt?

I'm not exactly sure what to say in this situation. Should I use legal jargon to get it removed or what? What exactly is the best thing to say course of action to take. Thanks.
