My wages are being garnished to satisfy a $1500 judgement by a credit card company. Problem is, so far my employer has withheld over $3500. The collection agency has recieved the exact amount of the judgement plus interest, but wont "close" the case with the court. What can I do to stop the garnishment? How can I get back the amount I overpaid?
By 'overpayment' are you referring to the interest you paid? or is it the amount withheld by your employer?
