Are my Social Security benefits of $1,400/mo. considered "disposable income" when computing my total income if a creditor attempts to garnish my income? I hope not since I only have $555/month other income from an annuity and this amount is under the minimum. I live in Colorado
No, I don't think anyone can garnish your social security benefits.

Thanks for the quick reply. I agree they can't BUT if creditor can count my SS benefits as "disposable income" under the creditor laws then they're not really garnishing my benefits directly but rather indirectly. That is the essence of my concern.
