Ok, I've looked for a situation like mine with no luck so far.
I received a summons from the original creditor stating I owned X amount and they were taking me to court. I answered the summons denying all the claims and have yet to hear back from anyone on the matter. It was about 2 months ago. Well I decided to send a validation of debt letter to the original creditor and recevied a response back stating the date The account was opened and amount last paid. In the validation of debt letter I asked for the original contract and any proof they have that this is my debt an this is all they sent.
My question is what is the next step? Does this qualify for acceptable validation of debt?
Thanks.
Validation of debt after receiving summons
You should contact with the court in this regard. I hope you may get some information about your case. If you want to know how a debt validation letter looks like, then have a look at this link:

Ok so I had the attorney representing the credit card company ask them for a validation of debt. He sends me statements of the credit card but no user agreement contract no signature nothing but statements. This isn't enough to bring a judgement against me I'm guessing? Any ideas
Thanks
