has any one filed thier taxes yet? im curious to see how much they really give back on that 800-1600 deal. im betting there is atrick to it . let me know if any of you got it.
The consensus belief is that the checks will arrive during the summer. I was told that the rebate checks of 2001 actually came out of the refund from the following tax season.
I haven't heard anything about waiting on the taxes, what would be the reason for waiting? They pulled on extra people to in anticipation for this economic stimulus to kick in, that is what I read that the treasury department hired on extra help to handle the rush of checks that they are expecting.
I dont think the extra help was for income tax thats for the checks in may. I heard the federal gopvernment is holding the funds longer this year for some reason, i forgot. I finnaly got my last w2 so ill be fileing mine soon I think i can claim my daughter this year for the last time. I think i could of claimed my son also but i already filed his so thats out . I think you can go online to check the status of the federal checks.
