This company claims they will negotiate lower credit card interest rates for me. They claim that I have to give them NOTHING! They have all the information they need from credit reports provided by credit reporting agencies. They claim that their fees for doing this are paid by the banks. I have been trying to locate them and have been unable to find First Financial Asset Services. I can find First Financial Asset Management in Atlanta. Is this a sub-comany? Does anyone know anything about them?

Hi linkdaskaja,
Welcome to this community :)
First of all can you tell whether or not you have any credit problems? If so, you can still try to manage your credit problems yourself. To know whether or not First Financial Asset Services is a legal service, you can check out the company with the Better Business Bureau. However, more details on your credit is required to help you in your credit problem (if any).
Thanks,
Aaron
phone calls from first financial
I have checked them out with BBB. We have already taken some steps ourselves, however I have since found out that, in addition to a C minus rating from the local BBB, they do not "exist" as a business in Atlanta where the calls were coming from. It turns out that this is the marketing department. I also found out that they charge $995.00--on a credit card yet, after they present a plan. Somewhat deceptive marketing I think. Thanks for your reply, Aaron.
you should try this on your own.
You should first try to search if everything about them is legal and legit, then after doing so, you can start doing things on your own.
BBB/First Financial
Just because they are listed with the BBB does NOT mean a thing...They are NOT accrediated with the BBB. The BBB is a business like everyone else..If they can't pay the yearly dues to be accredited I am asuming they are not to reputable. Anyone can be rated by the BBB that has a license. They are a debt consolidation company, though they say they are not. Don't use them....get on the DoNotCall List and tell them not to call you again.

A few times, when I had a so-called CA call me, I asked them to send me their creditentials. They said, "by law, they don't have to." Well..if I received an answer like that, I sure wasn't going to give them a second thought!! Just go by your 'gut feeling', sort to speak. If I were you, I wouldn't send them any money.
Lied to by First Financial Asset Services!
I am one of the many unfortunate people who carelessly decided to go with their services under the assumption that they would lower my interest rates to under 10% and that I would be promised a minimum of $3000 in interest savings.... HA! These guys are absolute crooks! I just got off the phone with their main GM who is the highest person right under the owner of the company. I spoke with her for two hours and she was rude and completely unwilling to honor a refund saying "There really is nothing I can do, you don't qualify for a refund".... blah blah blah.... "because we met the $3000 in savings that we promised you." UH actually you didn't! They say that by merely sending my an info packet highlighting an advanced payment schedule that through that alone they have given me over $8000 in savings... but the kicker is I ALREADY KNEW THAT and if I had the money to pay off my credit cards faster I obviously would! They completely failed in lowering my APRs at all and yet they stand by the statement that they have saved me $3000 by sending me a stupid packet that contained nothing new to me. I am so pissed off.... This company is INCREDIBLY MISLEADING, and if I had the money to hire a lawyer I would like to take them to court for fraud.

I'm really sorry to hear you were scammed by them!! Maybe you can go to your State Rep and explain the situation (I've seen people do this with CC issues). Also...I would make a complaint with the Federal Bureau if you can. Usually, if something sounds 'to goodt o be true', it usually is. I'm sure one of the experts on the Forum will be by to give you better advice. Just hang in there!!
