I have a PDL with Nationwide Cash that I have overpaid by $300. I have been in contact with Jimmy Blake via email, but he refuses to discuss my account with me via email. He says I must call him. I don't want to call because there will be no record of our conversation. Should I stand my ground and tell him again that I won't call or should I just call and see what he has to say. I have emailed him 5 or 6 times and he always responds that I need to call him. I really don't care if they continue to debit my closed account, it isn't costing me anything, but I would like to get this settled and over with.

Don’t make any payments without a valid proof. I think they are scammers. Ask them to validate the debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t give any reply, then don’t need to pay them a dime. If required, you can file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.

Mail him instead of calling him as this is the only proof of your conversation.
