I took out a PDL from Payday Loan Yes. Yesterday I received a call from Thompson & Associates and they claim that I have committed Larceny and they are filing a suit with the County Sheriff's Office. Is this company legit and can they do that?

both PDLY,and thompson are not legit.PDLY is in fact not located in the US,and thompson broke the law in threatening arrest as debts are civil matters at best.btw nobody files suit with the sheriff.they file with the courts.seems this bottomfeeder talked in circles to try and scare money out of you.glad you didn't fall for it.now file a police report as again an illegal threat by a bottomfeeder.then ignore/hang up on future calls as again an illegal lender,and a lawbreaking bottomfeeder.
Payday loan yes is an illegal lender. You owe them only the principal amount, nothing more than that. Don’t worrry, Thompson & Associates is trying to scare you. They can’t do anything. Close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account.
