Hi,
I am presently in the process of disputing some inquiries with the credit bureaus. I asked a friend of mine to run my credit so I can get a true credit score, he decides to run my credit to see if he could get me financed for a car. I checked my credit, now I have a total of 11 inquiries.
I went through disputing the Equifax inquiries, but for TransUnion and Experian I have to write to them. However, I have read somewhere that I should try to contact the creditors who ran my credit, and taht they generally do not budge. Should I try to dispute these with TransUnion and Experian directly? Also do anyone have a sample letter I could use.
credit inquiries
Hi Jordyn,
If the inquiries are unauthorized ones, you can dispute those with the credit bureaus. However, if these inquiries are authorized ones, it will stay there on you credit report for 2 years, after which they are supposed to fall of your credit report. If this does not happen, you can dispute those with the credit bureaus then.
As for

you will have to send the disputes to the credit bureaus.
You will get a sample dispute letter with this community at http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/dispute-letter.html . However, it is always better to change the texting according to your own situation.
Thanks,
Aaron
