I was in a car accident in 1991. Long story short, I was 18, never received a court date, didn't look into it, so a judgment was entered against me($8000, now saying I owe $17,500). The guy has kept renewing the judgment. I am barely making it so cannot pay him off. He put a lien against the house my brother, sister, and I inherited. Now I was just served with papers for an 'Order Of Supplemental Proceedings' asking for everything from my last years earnings, tax returns, owned property, etc. I talked to his lawyer and explained my money situation and he said the guy will probably want to go after my house. Will he be able to make us sell it? All three of our names are on the deed but I am the one that lives there. I have a $50,000 mortgage and the house is worth over $350,000. I live in Washington state.

Hi DERKOWSKI,

Welcome to this community :)

Can I know when did you come to know of this judgment? If you were not properly served the judgment notice you have the option to file a motion to vacate the judgment within 30days of the judgment getting issued. However, if you were in no way aware of the judgment, you have 180 days to file the motion from the date of discovery of the judgment.

Thanks,

Aaron
