If they are paid off then more than likely you will not get cooperation from the collection agency. You probably should have set up an agreement up with the collection agency to remove it before you paid it off.
same boat..
I am in the same boat as well, I am trying to remove paid collections from my credit report...One thing you can try is goodwill letters...you can write a letter to them asking them in goodwill to remove the item from your account...You might not be successful because it is entirely up to their good faith to do so...they really have no incentive to remove the listing because they already got their money...I believe someone else mentioned they were successful in removing paid collections from their credit report using the 623 method...you might want to look into that as well...good luck
Remove paid off items from credit report
You can file a dispute with the credit reporting agency to remove the paid-off items from your credit report; make it clear in the dispute that the item is "paid-in-full" and that you would like to completely remove the paid-off item from the credit report.
The credit reporting agency will report back to you about the decision reached and the disputed item will be resolved within 30 days. Verify your credit report again to check that the paid-off item is removed from your credit report.

Hi jsal,
Welcome to this community :)
I am afraid, it will not be possible to remove the paid collections from your credit report. The collection agencies won't agree to work with you anymore on these accounts.
Thanks,
Aaron
Hi,
Thank you for all the advice, I'm going to give the goodwill letter a shot. Thanks again.
