I have been trying to get a refinance loan for the last 6 months. through the same mortgage broker. because of several delays due to new procedures that Fanny Mae has required, the broker has had to do 5 refreshed inquiries due to the length this is taking. My score is slowly going down as a result. Of these six hard hits I think I should only be held to one.
I am not too sure about this process, never tried to remove inquiries, but I believe you can contact the puller and explain the situation to them, see if they will have the inquiries pulled. The only other thing I can think to try is dispute the inquiries with the credit bureaus, let them know that they have been making continuous hard pulls for the same situation and you did not approve of this. That may work. Other than that I am not too sure, sorry i couldn't be of much help.

Hi geno,
Welcome to this community :)
As far as I know if if there are a couple of hard pulls within a certain time frame (14 days), then those are generally considered as one. However, if the hard inquiries made by your lender are affecting your score separately, you can dispute this with the credit bureaus.
Thanks,

GENO....(I hope I'm not misunderstanding this). The SAME company is doing 5 new inquiries on your CR? Why wouldn't they do only 1? Doesn't really make sense to me. Each 'hard inquiry' does bring your credit score down a few points. As suggested above, maybe you can contact them and ask why "so many inquiries."
