I have a creditor with one address identification number assigned to it. The account was then closed, charged-off. There then appears a collection agency took over that account...but with a diiferent address identification number assigned to it. So in summary....two accounts the same...but with different address identification numbers....Can I dispute this?

Hi spadegmc,

As far as I know identification number cannot change as such. So, if you think there is something wrong about this account, you can file a complaint with the FTC. However, you can also talk to your State Attorney General about this.

Hope that this helps.

Thanks,

Aaron
