I have no property, no house or money in the bank. I am living of state support. I tried talking with bank, but they dont care, I dont get any child support, so how can I make this garnishment go away? Some say to be self employed? can you help me?

Hi sandramoreno,

Can you tell whether or not the creditor or collection agency have already won a garnishment judgment? Can you tell what kind of state support you are getting?

Thanks,

Aaron

yes, there is a judgment, I get social security for my son and cash aid. I m already looking for a job, but its going to be hard if they start garnishing my wages.

Hi,

Social security is non garnishable. Thus, you can declare to the bank and the credit card company that all your money comes from social security. You can also check the state laws on garnishment.

Thanks,
