Hello all,
I need help as I am currently going to court to try to stop a wage garnishment so this answer will help me greatly. I am originally from Oklahoma, and the debt was incurred in Oklahoma. This is on 2 credit cards that I had been using. The default dates on these two cards are in 2001. I currently live in Ohio now and I don't know who's SOL applies plus by any chance anybody know any tips to help stop wage garnishments because the courthouse currently put a hold on my bank accounts and I haven't even been to court yet.
SOL question and lawsuit
Hi Zyanya,
If the debt was incurred in Oklahoma, then the Statute of Limitations (SOL) of Oklahoma will apply on your debt. The SOL of Oklahoma for credit cards is 3 years.
Thanks,
Aaron
