Hi All,

Day before yesterday I received the first written notice from a debt collector regarding a 277.00 medical bill. I requested that the original creditor (the hospital) to send me a bill, and they did. If I pay the hospital, CMRRR, and generate a receipt, will I be able to prevent this from getting reported by the collection agency, or if it does get reported as a collections account, get it altogether eliminated from my report with the generated receipt from the original creditor?

Hi Alda,

You can talk to the original lender about this. You can request the original lender to pull back the account from the collection agency. Only if the original creditor agrees to pull back the account, you can deal with the creditor, and make the payments to him.

However, if the original creditor does not agree to pull back the account from the collection agency, you will have to deal with the collection agency.

Thanks,

Aaron

to get something deleted from your report you must negotiate a deletion letter in exchange for your payment.

This is a very confusing area of credit repair. A lot of people talk about Pay For Delete, but no one explains what it is or how to do it. Pay for Delete is mediated settlement on debt. Basically, the creditor agrees to change the way a debt is reported in exchange for payment.

Your credit report is actually paid publication. The credit reporting agencies are well paid to compile a database of your financial accounts and how you pay your bills. Every time you apply for credit, you agree to let your credit check this database. The federal and state laws that govern how your credit is reported are regulations to prevent companies from reporting debt without proper foundation or proof.

Aaron, original creditors don't do pay for delete. even if the debt gets pulled back from the CA, the CA may stay on the persons report.
