Getting married to GF w/ great score.

She's not changing her name and we have no financial connection (and except for her green card appl, will avoid "signing" together or checking "married" status on other applications). But I'm concerned once we are officially married my bad score will caused hers to be lowered.

Any advice out there on how to deal with this?

Thanks

Hi Guest,

Your score cannot affect your wife's score unless:

1. You co-sign on an account opened by her.
2. You two borrow jointly.
3. You use her information to borrow.
4. You and your wife open bank accounts jointly.

So, if you two avoid doing any of these, your bad credit won't be able to affect your wife's score negatively.

Thanks,

Aaron
