I am looking for a company called Capital Exchange to see if they still have my debt. i received a called from Atlantic Resources and this group does not seem offical. so I callled th original creditor who I was paying and they informed me the account is with Capital Exchange do you have a legit telephone number the on I have no one answers.

To find out to whom you owe the debt, pull a copy of your credit report. Check under which collection agency this account is listed. Then send a debt validation letter to the collection agency.
Debt validation letter is sent when you are not sure whether the agency really has the authorization to collect the debt. Send the letter through certified mail, requesting a return receipt.
