after a judgment has been entered against you, how long does the court have to notify you?

also, how long do i have to file a motion to vacate?

im in az by the way.

Hi JJ,

The court is not supposed to send any notice to you after the judgment has been entered. However, the creditor will send you a judgment notification letter.

As for the motion to vacate judgment you need to file the motion within 30 days from when the judgment was entered. However, if you weren't immediately served with the judgment notice, the court gives you 180 days to file the motion. These 180 days starts from the date when you got to know about the judgment entered against you.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron
