I have recieved a notice, stating to pick up a letter's, form the post office, from my local muncipal court. This is from my dept collector, who has stated, that I start paying $150 a month on a medical bill, which I have been paying $40.00 a month, per their reguest, now has changed. they state, will garnish my wages, if i don't pay 150 a month? can they do this? nothing was in writing? should I pick up notice a post office, which I know is a court order on me? if so, what should I do then? thanks, Rick

Hi Allen,

I think you need to pick up the letter. Check what is written in it, If it's a summons, you need to answer to that. However, you can mention that you were never given any payment plan in writing.

Hope this helps.

Aaron
