problem: we opened my boyfriends business account under my ss number- because I handle all the money. he has a judgement against him- can a freeze be put on that bank account?

Hi Ohioproblem,

Yes, the creditor or the collection agency can put a freeze on the account for your boyfriend's debt. Though the account has been opened with your social security number, it is under your boyfriend's name. Thus it is better to remove his name from that account and open it under your name.
