Wells Fargo will no longer accept my payment due to student

I am a cosigner on a student loan which has gone into default. They requested I pay 500.00 a month which I was unable to do. I did send payment of 250.00 and as I tried to make another payment they refused to take it. What can I do

Hi Carmen,

Can you provide information on who the primary holder of this account is? If the lender had requested you to pay 500 a month, then what about the primary holder? Moreover, did they request you in writing? Can you tell me whether or not you had sent any settlement letter before forwarding the payment?
