I just received notice that LVNV is suing me for a debt that I owed to Citifiniacl which I belive was written off in 2005 or 2006. I have sent a debt validation letter to them and will notify the Justice of the Peace. I was served by a service company on Friday night at my backdoor and am supposed to be in court on the 18th I can't afford an attorney so what should I do next? I live in Texas in Collin County. Thank You

Hi Harold,

Can you tell if you have the proof that you had sent the debt validation letter? If you have, you can use it to dismiss this case. If you had sent the letter through certified mail, requesting a return receipt, you can provide that in court while filing a motion to dismiss the judgment.
