bernette, They seem to have added some wrong information to your experian report. Another possible explanation is someone used your info to secure this loan. You need to contact the credit bureau as soon as possible and get this matter straightened out. Go to their web site and dispute the information. You can also get their address from their web site and dispute by mail (be sure it is certified) and send along your proof. This is not something to wait on. In the future I would suggest (if you do not already) using all three of your free credit report pulls on monitoring your credit report. This can keep these errors from effecting your credit.

I am paying taxes on a credit card right now that wasn't even on my credit report any where. They charged off part of the debt and sent the 1099 to an address that wasn't mine and never was. So I'm in the process of investigating the situation. I did consolidate my bills a few years ago with a second mortgage. So now I'm waiting on a copy of who they paid off for me. If this debt wasn't one of them. I know its not mine. So it belongs to someone else. Who is where the real work comes in.

Yes you sure can. Me myself I tried doing it that way before. But you are only allowed to type so many letters for a dispute and I needed to type a lot more than that. So I believe I will stick with the old fashion way.

With the old fashion way, you can send in hard copies of your proof of dispute. You can always just use the websites to print the complaint forms off so they do have some use.

True peacockrancker, but using the online process sometimes is quicker, I have had more luck picking up the phone and calling the credit reporting agencies, that way if you have questions then you can ask them to the representative while you have them on the phone.

I have my SSN 560-25-1214 and my wife, Young Ja Shin has her
SSN 56-55-2799. You have used my SSN as hers in your recent
credit report to Chase Bank. Please check my wife's SSN.

I want to let you know this is a Credit forum. I think you are looking to 'dispute,' some personal information, to the Credit Bureau's. I don't think it's a good idea to post you and your wife's SSN. I hope a MOD can look at this post and remove the personal information for your safety.

Does anyone have a phone number to speak with an opperater for Experian? I want to pay off a debt but, I am unable to actually speak with some one to handle this matter, tired of the automated phone system they have. I have been working on this matter for 2 days now and have yet to speak with a live person from Experian!

It has been a while since I have been here, how do I get something removed a hard inquiry from my report, if I can not get it removed what other options do I have?? how many points does a hard inquiry lower your score and how long does it affect it?
