can i apply for a credit card with a tax lien. Are there any credit cards that will accept me? I am paying if off now.

Hello Guest,
Unfortunately right not is not the best time for credit card companies. With so many people defaulting on their credit cards a lot are not taking too many leaps unless you have almost perfect credit. I am not saying it is hopeless. A lot will depend on the age of this tax lein and other credit you may have. Do you have any older credit card accounts or bank loans that show a good payment history? This alone could help. Do you know your credit score? Give us a little more info and we may be better able to direct you.

Hi guest

If you have a tax lien it is likely that you will not be approved fr new credit. Any lender or creditor would like you to clear off the lien before you apply for new credit/loan. Even if you do find a company willing to lend you money despite the lien, you may have to pay very high interest on your card. So, think about it before you accept an offer.

Yes unfortunately you will have to have that cleared up before you are going to be able to get anyone to extend credit to you.
