You would need to file a dispute on the items, but getting them removed may be difficult. You have to have reasons. Are they showing up in your negative column of your report? I assume so, since no one really wants positives removed, I am not sure that you can have that many removed. If you give more details, maybe we can help you out here.
Hi Kim,
If they are negative accounts they will usually will remain listed for at least 7 years. Meaning you are close to that but not quite there. They should fall off sometime next year on there own. If they don't then you can dispute it with the CB.
You really do not want to remove the creditors listed under good standing. These are the accounts that help build your credit and raise your credit score. They help by showing a good credit history and also a lenghty one. The older the accounts and what their standings are (never late, paid) can really give your score a good bump. This is usually why when kids get out of school they have such a hard time establishing credit. No credit history is sometimes as bad as a negative one. Give us a little more info so we know in what way to advise you,
It is really hard to rebuild your credit once you have a negative on there, try to keep everything in a positive status by making the payments on time or at least in that thirty day window. You really need to make your bills on time, credit affects a lot more than you ability to borrow money these days. I have seen people be turned down for jobs over their credit ratings. Sad but true.
Hi kimrobinson
How long these will stay on your report depends on the SOL of your state. Have you disputed these items? We would like to have more details from you to be able to provide solutions to your problem.
