Guest, Tis does not appear to be proper validation of the debt. They should have sent you a copy of the original signed agreement. You need to take what they sent to court with you. Hopefully that may keep them from winning.
How old is this debt and when did you first default on payment? Debt that exceed the statute of limitations can not be sued and won in court. If your state has a limit of say three years then they have to sue you before that period of time expires. Let us know what other information you have and we can try to assist you.
Yes true OP. This is not proper validation. You need to have proper proof that they own your debt now. You should also get an updated statement of your account payment history. With this you must be able to know how the CA has calculated your debt. A copy of your original contract must also come to you. Sometimes a CA may send you account statements from the original creditor also as debt validation.
However, when you go to court be prepared with proper paper works. You will get a chance to defend yourself. Keep your proofs in handy. Let the court know that you have not received proper validation of your debts.
