Need advice

I have been contacted by a lawyer representing a collection agency. I do not dispute that I owe this debt and intend to pay it. I just need to know what to do to protect myself from these bloodsuckers. I did not send a dv letter within the thirty days. Does this mean they no longer need to provide validation? They are suing me in small claims court and the hearing is next week. Will a judge enter a judgement against me with no proof that they are legally entitled to collect this debt? I called them on the phone, which I now know was stupid, and it was completely fruitless.

will a decrease of credit line hurt my credit score?

I have a credit card which has a credit line of $15,000, and recently it automatically changed to 25,000, after i had a balance of around $5000. I had paid off the $5000 on time. As I do not need big credit line of $25,000, i am wondering if i should call to decrease the credit line to $15,000, but will that hurt my credit score? Thank you for your kindly reply i advance! :)

No date of last activity? What to do?

I had a student loan that I had problems with back in 05', I ended up paying it up to date but then it was transfered to a new bank. Now both of them show up. The 1st bank says it was paid after collection, then the 2nd bank has me in perfect standing as I have been good ever since that snafu. My question is that the 1st bank doesn't have a date of last activity and its negative obviously so I want it off or at least know when it should be off. But I also don't want to affect the 2nd bank report which has me as good. Any suggestions or does anyone know?

Thanks in advance!

more points for my score to boosst

My husband needs to boost his credit score by about 65 points. He only has one tradeline and we have no way of doing the piggyback ride thing. Is there any other way of helping his score jump? He only has one card with First Premier. Is there a way of obtaining credit without paying out of pocket or opening accounts.......we are currenly living paycheck to paycheck so this would be really hard to do right now?

Why such a difference in my score?. Truecredit vs Creditchec

I have had a membership with Truecredit.com for a few months now and have been tracking my credit score. I decided to try a different company: creditchecktotal.com. I was extremely surprised to see the huge difference on my credit score, creditchecktotal's and Truecredit's scores are totally different. Does anyone knows which one gives the accurate one, if any of them does?
I am concern, because this is showing me that credit scores given by this credit report companies might not be the real deal and I don't want to be wasting my money. Here are the numbers:
