I had a payment arrangement set up with a credit card company. However, it came to an end recently, but wasn't able to renew it. Called the company for a month and could not reach anyone that could help. Finally when I was able to speak with someone all they could say was I needed to contact a debt consolidation agency to go on a program. I have sorted out arrangements with every other credit card company I deal with and each and every one of the other companies have been really nice. What I need to find out is can anything be done regarding this situation? I can only afford a certain amount which I am paying but this company (no names) have been ridiculous.
Please advise.
Thanks.
payment arrangement
Hi Carron,
Can you tell whether or not you have defaulted on this card? If you think that you won't be able to pay the dues on this card, then you can join a credit counseling agency to help you in negotiating a repayment plan or settlement.
When you join a credit counseling agency, this will get reported on your credit report. However, this won't affect your credit as negatively as late payments and delinquencies. Moreover, after you finish paying off the dues, your account will be reported as "Paid". You can then request either your creditor, or the credit bureaus to remove the comment regarding the credit counseling from your report.
Thanks,
Aaron
payment arrangement
Hi,
I too had to face same problem with renewing my repayment plan. Thus, I went ahead and joined a credit counseling company. They helped me in paying off my debt much easily, without me facing any kind of harassment.
Now my credit has started improving :)
Thanks.

Hi,
Before joining a credit counseling agency, one should always check whether or not the company has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau. You also need to check if the company has been in business for more than 10 years, and how are they reported about. If a counseling agency ever charges money before helping you in your problem, such company should better be avoided.
Thanks,
Aaron
Good advice here! Also when looking for a credit counseling agency make sure there a memeber of the NFCC or BBB. Also do some searches online for their company name and find out if they have any "ripoff reports" out on them or adverse reviews on the internet out on them.

Hack West Professional Credit Repair gave me the greatest Christmas gift. Words fail me to express how joyful I’m right now. I just received a mail from my bank that I’m now qualified for a loan. This is coming after several rejections from banks due to my poor credit score. After reading several reviews about Hack West I decided to give them a try, lo and behold it’s real. The charge was worth the service. My score jumped to 720 from low 400s. All I can say right now is “Thank You to the entire team of Hack West†you’re truly the best. I’m dancing into the new year with a good credit score and that has being my dream. You too can achieve this or even more. Kindly contact: (424) 307 2638 HACKWEST@WRITEME.COM.
Having good credit is not something they teach you in high school or college. I had horrible credit and was burned a couple of times by hackers who provide "clean up credit" services. Working with Hack West Credit Repair was an entirely different experience. Hack West was honest. They did exactly what they said they would, within a short while, was always available and awesome. These things made all the difference. Thanks so much for helping to repair my credit; I now have a score of 760 with all hard inquiries removed. Reach them on HACKWEST at WRITEME dot COM or +1 (424) 307 2638.
