I have been receiving calls from a collector that state he is a legal officer with the collection company( this debt is for a payday loan). He said yesterday that he was going to put my name in the paper and send collection agents to my house! He would not send me anything in writing even though he has my address!! Is this legal? What can I do?

report this idiot.nobody calls ahead to tell you they will serve you,or send anybody.report and ignore.all empty threats.

This is a scam. They are just trying to scare you. Don’t share any personal information with them. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC immediately.

Don't worry about them as they're simply trying to scam you. Before doing anything, just report them to the FTC.
