I receive former spouse pay from the Federal Employees Retirement System. My bank account has been levied by a credit card company, I was wondering if my bank account can be levied. I live in the state of Texas.

Your retirement benefit can’t be garnished since it is exempted from garnishment. Don’t worry, they can’t do anything.

it sounds like they did levy so read the post next time please.now you need to go to the courthouse and show that the account is for your retirement funds only.then the levy should be lifted.btw to the guest above me a bank levy is not a garnisment so again read the post next time.
